She did it again! Beth O'Learys third book takes you on a road trip through Great Britain - and it is one of a kind, including a rollercoaster of emotions of its passengers...

Ever since I held Beth O'Learys Flatshare in my hands and devoured it in one December night after it was given to me for Christmas, I knew she would become one of my favourite authors. Her characters are charismatic, funny and somehow very British, sparking wit and likability.
This time the author takes the reader on a road trip. A road trip to a wedding, as well as back down memory lane when sisters Addie and Deb have to take up Dylan and his best friend Marcus on their way to Scotland. But Addie and Dylan have a history. A complicated history. During the road trip their story unravels with back flashes from when they met to when and why they couldn't be together anymore, and why Marcus might have something do to with it....
The combination of characters is compelling: Deb, the big sister, independent, tough and a single mum and Addie, sensitive and down to earth, who had her heart broken. Then the two friends Dylan, the poet, kind moony and melancholic and often misunderstood and Marcus, the troubled bad boy who is so direct and rude that it is close to bitterness.
- And not to forget about Rodney, the mysterious fifth passenger who is sharing the ride and is hiding something that could almost endanger the wedding bliss.
"The road of friendship never did run smooth, is what I'm saying"
Difficult dynamic of five young people who try to find their way and place in life, all within a Mini. Complicated characters clash but will they manage to pull together? Prep yourself for lots of adventures, secrets, misunderstandings, witty dialogues and also serious topics that make the book hard to put down.
P.S.: A gem is also the beautifully written 'Acknowledgements' -section of the author in the end
